Three southeast sports facilities will receive a significant investment from both the Federal and Provincial Governments through the Canada-Saskatchewan Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund.

Souris Moose Mountain MP Ed Komarnicki made the announcement Monday morning, along with Cannington MLA and Government Services Minister Dan D'Autremont.

The projects include upgrades to the Oxbow Arena, and the construction of a new outdoor swimming pool in Alida, and new community rink in Manor.

The total funding through the Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund is $321,948, or 50% of the total cost of all three projects.

Through their support of the Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund, the Federal and Provincial governments have invested over $90.9 million in Saskatchewan projects.
