With the start of the long weekend, highways are expected to be busy, when conditions allow.

Here in the southeast corner of the province, the highways are in better shape this morning than they were yesterday morning. Most of the highways are reporting icy and slippery sections, with some loose and swirling snow.

There are a few exceptions, such as Highway 35 north of Weyburn, where a travel not recommended advisory was in effect this morning for the stretch between the intersection with Highway 48 to the Trans Canada Highway.
