The province's Highway Hotline is reporting icy sections on roads in the Estevan area, causing conditions to be categorized as "winter driving."

But with light snow falling Friday morning, combined with winds reaching 80 kph from the northwest, the area is liable to experience whiteout conditions similar to what hit the southeast on Tuesday.

Environment Canada has a blowing snow advisory in effect. Wind speeds aren't expected to taper off until Friday night.

More snow is expected this weekend.
