International Literacy Day Celebrated in Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan Literacy Commission is providing approximately 9000 Saskatchewan families with Smartpacks in conjunction with today's celebration of International Literacy Day.

Smart Packs consist of reading material, crayons and bookmarks. Margaret Lipp, Saskatchewan's Literacy commissioner explains that these smart packs will encourage more parents to read to their children and create a culture of family literacy within the home.

This initiative is administered by the Saskatchewan Literacy Commission to help build healthy families in Saskatchewan.
