Milestone RCMP officers responded to a crash over the weekend which left two dead and one injured.

On January 27 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Milestone RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 39 near Corrine, SK.

Officers responded immediately along with Milestone Fire Department and local EMS. An investigation determined two pick-up trucks collided, with the drivers of both trucks declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

One has been identified as a 76-year-old male from Midale, SK. His family has been notified. An adult female passenger in the truck was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature.

The driver and sole occupant of the other truck has been identified as a 50-year-old male from Estevan. His family has also been notified.

Milestone RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
