More fatal collisions reported in the southeast

The Saskatchewan RCMP say a pair of fatal collisions happened in the southeast on Friday.

This comes after Mounties expressed concern on October 30 over an uptick in deaths on the province's highways.

Police were called around 12:45 p.m. November 3 to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 33 and a grid road at Fillmore.

A car and semi collided in the roadway. The 21-year-old Regina man who was driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The adult male passenger was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The adult male semi driver was not injured. An RCMP collision reconstructionist is continuing to investigate.

And Estevan and Carnduff RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover involving a car around 10:30 p.m. November 3 about 1.6 kilometres south of Benson on Highway 47.

The 27-year-old male driver of the car was transported to hospital, where he later died. An RCMP collision reconstructionist is continuing to investigate that crash too.

The RCMP also reported a Sunday morning collision in Kindersley involving a car and a truck. The man driving the car was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman who was the car's passenger is in hospital with critical injuries. And the adult male of the hospital was transported to hospital with injuries. This crash is also still under investigation.
