Progress is being made on initial prices.

Despite not receiving a request to change initial crop prices from the Canadian Wheat Board until mid August, the Federal Government is looking to approve price increases by the end of this month.

Cypress Hills-Grasslands MP David Anderson made the statement this week, as farmers are becoming increasingly anxious regarding initials.

Anderson says the approval process is approximately 6 to 8 weeks long, and must run through Cabinet, Agriculture Canada, and the Treasury Board.
