The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan collects public records of historical value, as well as records of people and organizations. They preserve the records to make sure there is documentary evidence to researchers not just now but in the future.

This past week, the provincial government announced a new Provincial Archivist had been appointed. Carol Radford-Grant will be taking over the position.

Prior to coming to Saskatchewan, Radford-Grant worked as the City Archivist with the City of Toronto. She has specialized in regulatory records, working with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Archives of Ontario and the Ontario College of Teachers.

"I am looking forward to working with the staff and Board of the Saskatchewan Archives to advance awareness of archives in the community and in government," Radford-Grant said. "We also plan to address the future needs of the Provincial Archives."
