There have been no recent sightings of a suspected cougar at TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club, according to Woodlawn head golf professional Amanda Minchin.

"Not sure if there's one or two or more, but they made their home at Woodlawn," Minchin said. "I think the cougar's probably been around for a while...it's just that we're aware of it now. We haven't had any sightings for a while."

"It'll be interesting heading into winter. Just be aware and do your due diligence when you're walking down to the park and the golf course."

Minchin added that she was unsure as to whether or not the cougar was actually spotted by somebody at the course.

"I don't have someone that told me they actually saw it," Minchin said. "I think there was a ton of people that maybe had trail cams up. We saw some prints in the bunkers and stuff that we assumed were cougar prints, but we haven't had an actual documented sighting at the golf course."

"They're not going to mess with people unless they're messed with," Minchin continued. "You're not going to see them draped across the fairway in the middle of the day, that's not their environment. They like cool, dark shaded areas. So we didn't encounter any issues with it."

The golf course is now closed for the season.
