A local coal company is working to repair a collapsed dragline not far from Estevan.

A spokesperson for Westmoreland Company says the dragline, located just south of the Shand Power Station, shifted late Friday night into early Saturday morning after the ground below it failed.

The company says there are no injuries and that the dragline is stable.

The spokesperson said they are prioritizing safety and are currently working to get the line repaired.

There is no timeframe as of yet.

Shand is about a 15-minute drive south east of Estevan.
