Last year alone, over 22,300 Canadian women and men were affected by breast cancer.

In an effort to educate others, October has been designated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

According to Donna Zeigler, the Director of Prevention and Advocacy for the Canadian Cancer Society, a number of events are taking place in conjunction with the event, including a TeleHealth presentation Thursday night at St. Joseph's Hospital.

'Fish out of Water' includes discussions from males about the challenges they face in helping their loved ones with breast cancer.
