The first shipments of Canadian purebred cattle to the U.S. in more than four years are providing the industry with renewed optimism that better times are ahead.

Canadian purebred cattle over thirty months of age have been allowed to cross the U.S. border since November 19th.

 

However, Herb McLane, the Executive Vice President of the Canadian Beef Breeds Council, says the good news of an open U.S. border signals more challenges.
