The Ministry of Highways is hosting a Public Open House Thursday night to discuss a major project that will affect local motorists and businesses this spring.

As a result of rehabilitation work on the overpass just east of the 4th Street and Kensington intersection, traffic will be rerouted through Estevan for a significant period of time.

According to Wayne Elhard, the Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, the contractor will likely require most of the summer to complete the bridge upgrades, with work expected to start as early as May, weather permitting.

The Open House is from 6:30 to 8:00pm at the Elks Hall.
