Avatar 2: Way of the Water made a huge splash at the Estevan Orpheum Theatre, being the 6th highest grossing film of all time.
The energy surrounding this massive film was incredibly exciting. Opening night had excited fans lined up outside eagerly waiting to see it.
“Unfortunately, our numbers still aren't back to pre pandemic numbers but it was one of our better movies,” says Joceyln Dougherty, owner of the Orpheum.
The film played a total of four weeks in 3D and the special effects were exceptional. The Orpheum Theatre is hoping to bring it back to theaters in 2D, waiting on policies from Disney to change.
