The Coal Creek Music Festival debuted in Bienfait, bringing together a community of fans and musicians for its successful inaugural event.

Brayden King, who hails from Weyburn met with some fans after his set, which he said was an amazing experience.  

“I’ve seen a lot of familiar faces, a lot of new faces and a lot of fans that I’d never met before. So this is extremely cool. “ 

He said that the experience at the festival was great and that he would 100 per cent be back if they asked next year.  “Thank you for supporting me, you guys were the first to support me and you continue to do it. Keep coming to the shows keep listening to the music and you guys are the reason I get to do what I do.”  

The music kicked off at 2:30 p.m., with Aaron Karpinka followed by Kara Golemba the music continued through the afternoon and into the evening with performances by SCMA award-winning Last Birds, Mariel Buckley, Brayden King, Munro Patrick Band, and closed with the Johner Brothers & The Johner Boys
