The Estevan Police Service removed a person from a home near the 7-Eleven on King Street last night after two people living there complained of being assaulted by the other person.

Sgt. Kevin Reed said the call was for a disturbance, which came in the early evening. It was when they attended that the parties complained of being assaulted.

"The matter is still under investigation," said Reed. "One of the parties was removed from the home and, with the assistance of social services, found them a place to stay for the night until we can further investigate the assault that was alleged."

Reed said the two people live together.
