The Radiothon For Life ended earlier today, raising six figures for the St. Joseph's Hospital's Unit A.

The exact amount was $110,175.30 raised for the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation.

During the 12-hour radiothon, plenty of donations came in person, through the phone line, or online.

Near the end of the radiothon, they also received a donation of $10,000 from White Cap Resources which pushed the total over the $100,000 mark.

Executive director for the Foundation Lori Gervais says that the community has been great for the radiothon.

"Always, the community shows up like no other and we always, always are beyond grateful for everything that everybody does for us."

While they didn't have any expectations for this year in terms of a goal, the number that they did get was great, according to Gervais.

"We didn't really have a goal for this year. going in every year, we're just amazed by the generosity of the community and our donors always show up for us. You really just hope for the best and it couldn't have gone better."

She thanked all of the community members who came together to help put on the radiothon.

"All of our community volunteers. Every year everybody that we have comes out and answers phones and sells our merchandise, the Southern Plains Co-op was here and the barbecue was so busy. It was a fantastic day for everybody."
