Twice within about three hours Wednesday afternoon, police were called to fatal collisions near Weyburn.

They were called to a rollover shortly before 1 p.m. north of Weyburn on Highway 35 near Cedoux. The driver, who was the vehicle's sole occupant, was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

Police confirmed he was a 17-year-old from Francis. His family has been notified.

Shortly before 4 p.m., police received a report of a crash between a semi and a car on the highway just northwest of Fillmore.

EMS declared the car's driver and sole occupant deceased at the scene. He was a 27-year-old from Winnipeg. The driver of the semi reported no injuries. The highway was closed during the initial investigation.

The Weyburn RCMP is continuing to investigate both incidents with collision reconstructionists from the Saskatchewan RCMP.
