July was a busy month for the Estevan Police Service. Here are some of the noteworthy stories that came up over the past month:

Stolen Vehicle

Two men from Carnduff were apprehended by police for stealing a motor vehicle on July 10. The driver was arrested immediately, while the second suspect turned himself in the next day.

Damaging Property/Home Invasion

On the weekend of July 16-17, Estevan police arrested a 33-year-old man on public intoxication and mischief charges after he damaged property near a business. Police also responded to a call of a break-in in the same area, but the suspect had fled before police arrived.

Travis Patron

On July 20, Travis Patron, the former leader of the Canadian Nationalist Party, had his sentence adjourned until August 23. Patron had previously been found guilty of two counts of assault causing bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in Estevan court in September for another trial related to hate crimes charges.

Unknown Suspects

On July 24, Estevan police revisited an investigation from earlier in the year and asked the public for help in identifying two suspects from a photo. You can view the photo here.

Estevan Market Mall Theft

A theft at the Estevan Shoppers Mall took place on July 25. There were two female suspects who were seen on surveillance images. Anyone with information can contact EPS or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
