UPDATE: City street to be closed through the week for road work

UPDATE: The City of Estevans sent out an update that 6th street would be closed throughout the week, during the day and night.

The City of Estevan announced that 6th Street from 2nd Avenue to Kensington Avenue will be closed for road work.

This includes no traffic from either direction, and no access onto or off of Kensington at 6th street.

City Safety Manager Helen Fornwald said anyone travelling east can detour from 2nd Avenue onto 5th Street.

"The public is requested to avoid this area until the construction work has been completed," Fornwald said, thanking the public for their patience.
