The village of Roche Precee is now under a boil water advisory after a water sample brought back signs of a serious health issue.

According to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, a sample of E. Coli was found in the water, calling it a serious threat to health.

They've put in place a boil water order and an emergency boil water notice for the area.

The SHA says that people should boil their water for at least one minute before drinking it, or for any activity where it could be ingested.

This includes brushing teeth, soaking false teeth, using water for food or drinks, and making ice cubes.

The notice will remain in effect until further notice. Anyone looking for more information can phone Public Health Inspection at 1-888-295-8005 or the village of Roche Percee at 306-634-4661
