The world's biggest seed maker says it will be forced to cut prices because it's popular herbicide is facing growing competition.   Monsanto's Roundup prices will drop,  but  Monsanto wouldn't say exactly how low they would go.  They did however say they would gradually raise prices once it gains customers and they see the crops are worth it.  The agribusiness giant also says that it appears farmers are unwilling to pay premium prices for the company's new lines of bio-tech seeds.  Some of the seeds are twice as expensive as the varieties most farmers grow today.
