When you see the kettles come out, you know Christmas is on the way. Friday marks the start of Estevan’s 2023 Kettle Campaign.

The Kettle Campaign is a major fundraiser for the Salvation Army, explained Jacki Wynn, this year's organizer.

“It raises funds to help us be able to provide the services we are providing, each and every day, not just at Christmas, but throughout the year as well.”

All money raised during the Kettle Campaign will go back into the community.

“It doesn’t get sent to other Salvation Army units throughout the country. It stays right here in Estevan.”

The Kettles will be at the Co-op and No Frills from December 1 until December 23. There will be Kettles at Walmart from December 11 until December 23.

The Kettle Campaign is run by volunteers, who cover two-hour shifts.

If anyone is looking to volunteer with the Kettle Campaign, they can contact Wynn at (306) 634-2074
