Saskatchewan's non-profit air-ambulance service is faring well after the first of two days of the Critical Care on the Air Radiothon for STARS.

The official total as of 6 p.m. Wednesday was $198,562 raised by individuals, organizations, and sponsors in the province.

The Saskatchewan government covers half the cost for STARS to operate in the province. The other half comes through fundraising efforts such as the annual radiothon, which is airing across Golden West Stations in Saskatchewan along with other broadcasters' stations.

The second half of the radiothon continues Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Listen online by following the link on this website.
