Hunters across Saskatchewan should circle Sunday May 1 on their calendars.

That's the day the province will be handing out a limited number of hunting licenses to Saskatchewan residents.

People can apply for a license between May 1 and May 25.

"We expect to have another busy season," said Travis Williams, a wildlife allocation specialist. "Last year we had almost a 124,000 applications, and we expect to be at or around that number again this year."

Williams said licenses for elk, goose, pronghorn, and mule deer will all be available.

You can learn more about how to apply on the province's website.
