Residential and farm customers still without power in the southeast should see that change by around 6 p.m. Tuesday - barring any unexpected delays.

SaskPower announced Monday night in a release that crews restored power to Redvers, North Portal, Wapella, and the rural area south of Stoughton.

The Crown corporation said over 600 power poles and 2,200 crossarms were sent to crews in the area, and they expect the number to rise as work continues on Tuesday.

They have also brought in more crews - one from Prince Albert, one from Kindersley, two from Saskatoon, and two from Tisdale - that will begin work in the region Tuesday morning. There are now 216 technicians deployed to the southeast.

SaskPower said its Outage Centre fielded more than 9,700 calls since the storm began Saturday, hammering the southeast with widespread power outages. Over 24,000 customers lost power.

They are still receiving reports of downed lines. You should stay at least 10 metres back from one if you come across it, and call the Outage Centre at 306-310-2220 (or 911 in an emergency).
