The Southeast Cornerstone School Division is announcing its new Director of Education, who will be coming into the position at the start of the 2022-23 school year.

Keith Keating is the new Director, having previously served as a teacher, principal, superintendent, and the Deputy Director of Education.

Audrey Trombley, the chair of the Board of Education for South East Cornerstone Public School Division, announced the decision.

“The Board of Education is very pleased that Mr. Keating has accepted the position of Director of Education,” Trombley said. “We are confident that his education, background, and years of experience in our school division will complement the strategic direction of the Board of Education in serving the stakeholders of South East Cornerstone Public School Division.”

Keating stated that he is “Excited, humbled, and honoured to be able to help lead a team of committed individuals supporting students, staff, and communities to ensure success and achievement for every student in every school.”

He will be replacing the current Director of Education Lynn little, who is retiring following her 35-year career in education.

On Little's departure, Trombley stated, “I would like to take this opportunity to express our congratulations to Lynn Little on her well-deserved retirement. Lynn has provided eight years of dedicated service as the Director of Education for South East Cornerstone following several years of service in our system. Her leadership has contributed to a strong leadership team that will continue on the path of success and achievement for every student in every school.”
