Estevan's own Chris Henderson will be making an appearance in southeast Saskatchewan this weekend.

The award winning country music artist is set to play at the Bow Valley Jamboree Music Festival in Oxbow on Saturday Aug. 6.

"It's (Oxbow) one of the most underrated little spots in the province I think," Henderson said. You drive down to that valley and it's just gorgeous. And the community has done a lot of work to make it a beautiful place as well. And I think they've really achieved that...it's a wonderful place to visit and to go play a show."

Henderson added that he's excited to be playing live shows again after the COVID-19 pandemic essentially shut down the music industry.

"It's starting to ramp up again. Every time I get in front of a crowd is a great reminder of how much I love it and how important I think live music is in general," he said.
