The Esterhazy RCMP issued a request Tuesday afternoon to locate a stolen vehicle, with a driver considered armed and dangerous.

Police said the vehicle could be southeast of Carlyle.

Around 3:30 Tuesday morning, the Esterhazy RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence north of Langenburg. Police responded, and determined that a vehicle was stolen from the Langenburg and Esterhazy area after the violent offence.

The vehicle is a dark blue 2011 Chrysler 300, with Manitoba license plate HLV 980.

The RCMP said their initial investigation determined that the car might be southeast of Carlyle, though the exact location and destination was unknown.

Police believe the vehicle is driven by one adult male, who may be armed with firearms. They urge you to not approach the car, but rather report the sighting or any other information to the police.

Esterhazy, Carnduff, and Carlyle RCMP members are actively investigating. You can expect patrols in the area, police asking for witness statements, and following up on information they've received.
