Three of four weekend games for the Southeast Twins in 18U AAA baseball were tight contests, but the Twins only came away with one win.

@ Northwest Prairie Pirates Sunday Game 2

The Twins battled back to nearly overcome a third-inning eight-run deficit, scoring seven times in the seventh, but the Prairie Pirates hung on for a 12-10 win.

The Prairie Pirates scored every other inning, with six in the first, four in the third, and two in the fifth.

Twins starter Mason Fichter allowed six runs (two earned) in one inning. At the plate, he was two for three with a triple, a walk, an RBI, and two runs.

Kaiden Lyons, Levi Cooley, and Spencer Copeland also had multi-hit games. Lyons and Dylan Frey doubled for the Twins.

Callum Holinger went 0 for 3 but drove in two. He pitched in relief, allowing six runs - one earned - over four innings. And Bryson Andres threw a scoreless sixth, striking out two while walking his only baserunner. He's thrown seven innings on the season, allowing only one earned run.

The Twins are 3-7 on the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League season.

@ Northwest Prairie Pirates Sunday Game 1

The Twins started their Sunday with a 7-6 come-from-behind win over the Prairie Pirates.

After trailing 6-3, the Twins put up a pair of runs each in the fifth and sixth, highlighted by Carter Beck's go-ahead RBI double in the sixth.

It was one of two doubles for Beck.

Mason Fichter also hit for extra bases for the Twins, with one of his two triples on the day.

Kaiden Lyons started for the Twins, giving up three earned runs (and three unearned) over three and one-third innings.

Kieran Stewart came on in relief, locking things down with three and two-third scoreless innings, striking out five while walking one, allowing one hit, and hitting a batter.

@ Sask5 Giants Game Saturday Game 2

The Giants erupted for nine runs in the first during Saturday's second game, and beat the Twins in the five-inning mercy 15-5.

The Giants had eight hits and nine walks in the game. Ten of their 15 runs were earned, as the Twins committed four errors.

Spencer Copeland and Mason Fichter had doubles for the Twins.

@ Sask5 Giants Game Saturday Game 1

The Twins had the Giants on the ropes twice, but couldn't finish off the Giants despite leading by one in the bottom of the seventh and eighth innings, giving way to a Sask5 9-8 walk-off win.

Josh Goldbeck singled to score the winning run in the eight for the Giants in the extra inning.

Carter Beck collected two hits for the Twins, including a triple, and scored twice.

The Twins took advantage of six Giants errors. Two of eight Twins runs were earned.

Next Weekend

The 3-7 Twins are off until Sunday when they visit the 4-4 Swift Current 57's for a doubleheader.
