The crews working on restoring power in the Maple Creek area have been making headway in turning the lights back on, but have been dealing with difficult terrain and wet conditions.

SaskPower said in a release late Saturday there are 138 customers in the area who are still without power. Shortly before the release, the main power line into Cypress Hills, the town of Hatton and rural areas north and west of Hatton had been restored.

The majority of the 138 are expected to have their power restored by Sunday evening. SaskPower explained they should have the lights back on for the Eagle Valley Campground by 5:00 p.m. Sunday, and the trailer park south of Maple Creek by 10:00 p.m. Sunday.
