Saskatchewan teachers will soon learn whether they'll be accepting the newest tentative agreement between the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation and the province.

The voting began on Wednesday, with the results set to be announced tonight at 7:30.

One tentative agreement has been rejected in the past, however this one has the endorsement of the executive of the STF.

Estevan MLA Lori Carr says that she's hoping the province and STF can come together around this agreement.

"I think I think I'm pretty optimistic that we will hopefully have a positive vote this time, the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation is endorsing the proposal that has been brought forward and having that put in the rearview mirror and having everybody get back to life as normal would be great."
