The next football star could be coming from the southeast.

The Estevan Minor Football has opened up registrations for tackle football in the fall, with many slots in all age groups. They're looking for players for:

  • U10 Canuckcade Cudas
  • U12 Power Dodge Chargers
  • U14 Lions Oilers
  • U18 Kinnettes Viragos

Alongside players, the club's Vice President Paul Duncan said they are also looking for volunteers and coaches to help out. "We're definitely looking for people to help step up. Every minor sports organization needs the background crew of everybody that helps out with that, whether it's parents [or] people that are just in the community that want to get out to help out. I myself have been a part of the Estevan Minor Football for the last 11 years and I don't have any kids involved, but there's always room for somebody to come out and help out," he shared.

There are fees attached to the registration. Duncan noted that the fees will mostly be going towards the equipment for all players alongside other expenses for the club.

"We all know that equipment is the largest cost for most organizations when it comes to that. We want to make sure that we have the best appropriate equipment for the players to protect them for their safety - and that's what a lot of the fees go to."

Registration for 10 weeks of football costs $200 for the Cudas, $350 for the Chargers, and $400 for both the Oilers and the Viragos. Parents can sign up their children below or at the club's website.
