The Estevan Police Service had a busy weekend with calls about theft, DUI, and harassment.

On Saturday, a traffic stop was initiated in central Estevan which resulted in the male driver failing a THC test for marijuana. His license was suspended for 60 days and vehicle impounded for 3 days. He was also served violation tickets as a result of driving with only a class 7 license.

On Friday night, the EPS received two separate reports of thefts: one from a gas station and the other a grocery store. Video surveillance was obtained and both matters are under investigation. Police also received a report of a criminal harassment matter which has resulted in further investigation.

EPS is also investigating a report where an intimate image was sent to an individual and a sum of money was demanded or the image would be shared online.

Police were dispatched to a central Estevan convenience store on the report of a possible assault that had taken place. An individual was spoken to and it was determined that no assault actually occurred. The intoxicated male was transported to EPS where he was lodged in cells until sober.
