A spokesperson for the Canadian Pacific Railway says train movement has returned to normal after the track near Macoun was repaired following Thursday's derailment.

"Repairs to the railway tracks were completed Friday morning, allowing train movements to resume," said Andy Cummings with the Canadian Pacific Railway.

He added that CP’s HazMat response team continues to work with local emergency crews to clean up the involved railcars.

The incident remains under investigation with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada arriving on scene Thursday.
