Drivers will want to avoid taking the Highway 39 bypass around Estevan, as well as Highway 47 between the Highway 361 turnoff and Stoughton, according to the province's Highway Hotline.
An update posted just after 6 a.m. said travel was not recommended on both stretches of road. The report cites swirling snow, loose snow, icy and slippery sections, and snow drifts along with reduced visibility in both sections.
Highways 39, 47, and 18 around Estevan are listed as being in winter driving condition, with icy and slippery sections, as well as reduced visibility.
Conditions on Highway 39 are reported to be better northwest of Midale.
