WestJet delivered another update at 12 p.m., saying:

"We are working with all external parties to fully resolve and can confirm we are also impacted by the Zayo outage. As a reminder as per our earlier update, WestJet check-in services nationwide were restored as of 9:45 a.m. MT.

"Across our network we have seen three cancellations and more than 100 flights have been delayed as a result of the outage. We continue to thank all guests for their patience and will reaccommodate on the first available flight to ensure they get to their destination as soon as possible.

"At this time, self-serve baggage drop continues to experience issues at Calgary (YYC). Guests travelling from YYC are encouraged to arrive early to have baggage processed by an agent."

Meanwhile, Regina International Airport spokesperson Justin Reves said they weren't affected by the NAV CANADA issues.

He said the only impact on YQR would be if there are flights between Regina and Calgary.

WestJet announced that check-in services nationwide were restored as of 9:45 a.m.

The company said that issues at self-serve baggage drop in Calgary, Ottawa, Saskatoon, and Halifax are continuing.

They're encouraging guests to arrive early and check their flight status before heading to the airport.

Many WestJet customers are reporting delays in Canada and internationally, though the company's flights into and out of YQR in Regina appear to be largely on time - as of just after 9 a.m.

Three of 13 arrivals are listed on the YQR website as delayed, with the other 10 on time as of 9:10 a.m. Twelve of 13 departures are running on time.

A spokesperson with WestJet issued the following statement:

"An infrastructure outage is currently impacting WestJet’s airport check-in, flight planning, and payment services on westjet.com and continues to intermittently impact operations. We are working to restore service and encourage guests to arrive early and check their flight status due to delays with the check-in process at the airport. We thank all guests for their patience as we continue to work towards resolving the issue."

The Calgary Airport advised travellers to expect delays in a Tweet a little after 8 a.m.
