Winter conditions hitting highways with snow starting in the southeast

A wintry weather system is beginning to affect driving conditions in the southeast.

Highways throughout the region, including 47, 39, and 18, are listed on the province's Highway Hotline as wet and subject to freezing.

Some spots appear to present more challenges to motorists.

Highways 39 northwest of Weyburn and 33 northwest of Stoughton have icy or slippery sections and swirling snow. Drifting snow is also being reported on Highway 33 northwest of Stoughton.
