The most exciting time of the year for hockey teams is on the horizon as the Saskatchewan Hockey Association (SHA) has released the 2018 provincial draws for all divisions.

Three teams will represent the Big Six Hockey League looking to hang a provincial banner in their home rink by the end of March.

SENIOR B 2018 Prov Carnduff Draw

The Carnduff Red Devils will compete in the Senior 'B' division, taking on the Rocanville Tigers in their first round matchup. The two-game total point series will have to be finished by February 19th, dates for the series will be announced in the coming weeks.

Carnduff (13-2-0) is the top team in the Big Six, while Rocanville (7-4-0) is tied for 3rd in the competitive Triangle Hockey League. In 2016, Rocanville eliminated Carnduff in the South Final with a two-game sweep - READ MORE. The Red Devils last won provincials in 1991, while the Tigers took the title two seasons ago in 2015.

The winner of Carnduff-Rocanville will take on the Odessa/Vibank Bruins in the next round of provincials.

SENIOR C 2018 Prov Wawota and Carlyle Draw

The Wawota Flyers and Carlyle Cougars will each represent the Big Six in the Senior 'C' division.

Wawota will take on the Raymore Rockets, who are the defending provincial champions. The two-game total point series will have to be finished by February 19th, dates for the series will be announced in the coming weeks.

Wawota (10-2-3) is currently 2nd overall in the Big Six and are the two-time defending league champions in the Big Six. Raymore (5-8-0) is currently in 4th in the Highway Hockey League. Wawota's last provincial title came in 1970, while the Rockets defeated the Delisle Bruins to win the 'C' championship last spring.

Carlyle will battle the Theodore Buffaloes in their first round matchup. The two-game total point series will have to be finished by February 19th, dates for the series will be announced in the coming weeks.

Carlyle (1-15-1) is currently 8th overall in the Big Six, but will be adding four players from the Bienfait Coalers for their provincial run. Theodore (7-3-0) is tied for 3rd with Rocanville in the Triangle Hockey League. Carlyle's last provincial title came in 1992, while Theodore has never won a provincial championship.

The winners of Wawota-Raymore and Carlyle-Theodore will face each other in the next round of provincials.
