The Estevan Bantam Bearcats had a great start to the season at their opener game as they won 4-2 against the Regina Renegades. It was a tough match between both teams, but the Bearcats gave their all and came out on top.

Bearcats' coach Darryl Davis shares, "They had some great practices in the last couple weeks. From the first practice till now has been a big improvement and they played hard, so it was a good game. They moved the puck really well. We had our D to D passes and we moved pretty well through the transition through the neutral zone. They played very well."

"We have some veteran girls on the team from last year and some first-year girls on the team. They are a great group of girls and I definitely think we can be a good, top team in this league. It'll just depend on if they want to put the work into it, but I see a great group of girls who can go a long way this year."

The Bearcats' next game is next game will be against the Weyburn Creekside on Saturday, October 20th.
