It was a bit of a rough weekend for the Bantam Estevan Bearcats, dropping both games on the road.

On Saturday, they took on the Wood River Ice Cats in Lafleche, who dominated the first period to set the tone for the rest of the game. Two more goals were added in the second before Estevan found the scoresheet, a tally from Kamri Olfert. That sparked a comeback attempt from Hannah Terrett, who potted a pair to bring the Bearcats within two, but the Ice Cats scored twice more for a 7-3 final.

Sunday found the Bearcats in Swift Current against the Broncos, where they received another blow. The Broncos scored six goals to Estevan's none over the course of two periods to take the game way out of reach. Mckenna Walls potted one in the third to keep Estevan from becoming a shutout statistic, but Swift added one more for a 7-1 win.

The Bantam Bearcats sit in seventh in their division of the Sask Female Hockey League, with a 4-8-2 record.
