The Estevan Bantam Bearcats went to Regina Wednesday evening, intent on ending 2018 on a winning note.

The Regina Shamrocks, however, had other ideas. Caydence Chapman opened the scoring for Estevan, but Regina tied it up before the end of the first frame. The Shamrocks potted two unanswered goals in the second period and another period in the third to take a 5-2 win. Kiley Davis had the second goal for the Bearcats.

The Bantam Bearcats end the year with a 4-9-2 record and 10 points, sitting in seventh in the south division of the Sask Female Hockey League.
