The Estevan Bantam Bearcats came out of their weekend action with a split of two games.

They took on the Weyburn Creekside on Saturday at home, and despite a slow start, came back in the third period to win 5-3. On Sunday, they fell 7-2 to the Moose Jaw Mavericks.

"All in all, I think the score was no indication of how we played," said Head Coach Darryl Davis of the latter match, "The girls played really hard, and actually had a lot of opportunities to score. We just couldn't manage to get the puck to go in."

"Being it's just the third game into the season, we've still got to really look at working on more positional play now. I think it's time to start pushing them...and working on some different stuff that they just have never done before."

The Bearcats hit the ice again on Wednesday in Regina against the Renegades.
