Estevan Big Dogs lacrosse hit the road to Prince Albert over the weekend, where they faced the formidable Predators.

They didn't come away with a win, falling 15-2 on Saturday and 15-3 on Sunday. However, they did bring home some confidence and knowledge of what to work on.

"We have to work on keeping our full strength for the whole 3 periods. We kind of ran out of energy towards the end of the periods. We suffered a few injuries on Sunday, so that didn't help very much," shared Team Manger Roxanne Pratt.

"Tianna (Sieben) did an outstanding job in net, though. We have a pretty young team this year, a lot of first year players. A few have never played lacrosse before, so all in all, we did pretty well considering P.A's top in the league."

"Even the Prince Albert coach came up to me after the game and said that he couldn't believe how we've improved from the beginning of the season to now," she added, noting that they hadn't even had a game since the last time they'd played the Predators.

"I guess we've just got to keep positive, and as long as we're getting better every game, I guess that's all we can ask for."

The Big Dogs will suit up again on Thursday in Weyburn, playing host to the Regina Rampage.
