The Redvers Rockets are now two wins closer to their first Big Six Championship in team history.

Koltyn Miller scored for Redvers in double-overtime on Friday night at the Fast Centennial Arena to defeat the Carnduff Red Devils 4-3 in Game 2.

Coming off a 4-0 shutout victory in Game 1, Redvers got the scoring started in Game 2 as Drew Hoff scored his 5th goal of the playoffs to make it 1-0 with 8:32 left in the 1st period.

However, the Red Devils would strike back just 90 seconds later as Cody Moore would score the first goal of the series for Carnduff to tie the game at 1-1. With only 3 seconds left in the opening period, Trevor Geiger scored his playoff-leading 9th goal to give Carnduff their first lead of the series and a 2-1 lead in Game 2 after 20 minutes.

Brandon Trask would score the lone marker of the 2nd period, getting his 3rd goal of the playoffs to put Carnduff up 3-1 on Redvers after two periods of play.

But the Rockets would find a way to claw back into the game in the final period. Dakota Rose scored his 3rd goal of the series (7th of the playoffs) just three minutes into the period to make it 3-2.

A tight-checking period would keep the score 3-2 until the final 2:25 of the game, when Rockets' forward Todd Gervais would score his 5th goal of the playoffs to tie the game at 3-3. No scoring the rest of the way would send Game 2 to overtime, the first game of the postseason to require overtime.

Neither team would be able to end the game in the first overtime period, meaning we would need a second overtime to determine a winner. At the 13:22 mark of the fifth period, Ryan Yates had control of the puck behind the net. The Redvers forward was able to find defenceman Koltyn Miller coming in off the point for a quick shot that beat Cody Dumaine short-side. Miller's 1st goal of the playoffs would end Game 2, giving Redvers a 4-3 victory on the road.

Redvers now leads the final (2-0). Game 3 in Tuesday, March 20th in Carnduff at 8:00pm.
