The Wawota Flyers and goaltender Scott Knelsen came out to play on Wednesday night at home, as they shut down the Midale Mustangs in a 5-0 win.

Kent Sauter broke the deadlock late in the first period when he scored his first of two on the night to give the Flyers a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

The Flyers scored early and often in the second period with Ryan Taylor notching two in the opening ten minutes. Sauter would score his second of the night before Wawota's leading scorer Taylor Ernst potted his 11th of the year to extend the lead to 5-0.

Scott Knelsen would shut the door on the way to a shut-out and his 7th win of the season.

The Flyers will be busy this weekend starting on Saturday night during a date with the Bienfait Coalers. Listen live at 7:00 p.m. on CJ1150.
