Two of the final four teams with the chance to win the Big Six Championship this spring are now known following the Family Day long weekend.

REDVERS SWEEPS AWAY HUSKIES IN OXBOW ON SUNDAY NIGHT

The Oxbow Huskies were considered massive underdogs in their Best-of-3 quarterfinal series against the Redvers Rockets, needing to play perfect hockey and likely hoping for some Rockets' mistakes to advance to the next round.

Neither of those circumstances occurred, and as a result the Redvers Rockets are semi-final bound after easily dispatching of the Huskies in two straight games.

Game #1 - Redvers wins 9-3 in Redvers - HIGHLIGHTS/RECAP

Game #2 - Redvers wins 7-1 in Oxbow - The Rockets' defence would be too much for Oxbow's offence in this series. Redvers led 2-0 after the 1st period thanks to goals from Remi Lamotte and Drew Hoff. The Rockets' extended the lead to 4-1 after two periods with Brady Gaudet scoring twice for Redvers and Huskies' top scorer Taysen Holt getting Oxbow on the board. Todd Gervais, Dakota Rose and Hoff's second of the game rounded out the scoring in a 7-1 final.

WAWOTA SENDS WHEAT KINGS PACKING IN REMATCH OF LAST YEAR'S FINAL

In what was anticipated to be the most unpredictable quarterfinal matchup in the Big Six, the Wawota Flyers continued to have the number of the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings.

Wawota battled through two tough games, however winning both in regulation in a two-game sweep of Yellow Grass.

Game #1 - Wawota wins 6-3 in Yellow Grass - RECAP

Game #2 - Wawota wins 4-2 in Wawota - The Flyers' powerplay helped them wrap up the series at home on Monday night. Riley Riddell returned to the lineup for Wawota for the first time in two months and got the lone assist on Rob West's PP marker to give Wawota a 1-0 lead. However, Troy Miller would respond a minute later for the Wheat Kings for a 1-1 tie after the first frame. Justin Lamontagne scored on the man-advantage in the 2nd period to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead after two periods. Colton MacPherson extended Wawota's lead to 3-1 early in the 3rd period while Dustin Chartrand cut the lead to 3-2 by scoring for Yellow Grass with 8:17 remaining. Ryan Taylor would seal the game by scoring with only 1:30 left on the clock for a 4-2 Wawota final.
