For the second straight game, the Estevan Bruins pounded pucks towards the opposing net. This time it was against the Flin Flon Bombers, and this time they managed to solve the hot goalie, but for the second game in a row, the Bruins couldn't finish enough for a win.

Jacob Delorme made 39 saves in the Bomber crease, and Chrystopher Collin, Vincent Nardone, Brandson Hein, and Caleb Franklin scored as the Bombers took the 4-2 win. Austin King-Cunningham scored his first SJHL goal and Michael McChesney got his ninth of the year for Estevan.

The first period favored the hometown Bombers as they scored twice, first with Franklin breaking in off an areal past and catching up to it, sniping one low-glove on Grant Boldt. Collin then scored from his favorite spot, the top of the circle, firing a wrist shot in for a 2-0 lead.

All second period long the Bruins pressed but it took a howitzer of a shot from King-Cunningham to finally get the Bruins scoring started on their road trip. Off a face-off win by Tanner Manz, King-Cunningham walked into a shot and blasted it over Delorme's shoulder.

The third period started off even, but the Bombers restored their two-goal lead on a bizarre power play tally. Nardone cut wide into the Bruins zone on Aigne McGeady-Bruce, who appeared to have stick position to hold the speedy Bomber to the outside. Nardone took the shot anyway and it careened off of McGeady-Bruce's stick over Boldt's shoulder, still spinning from the redirection.

The Bruins again clawed their way back within one late in the third. McChesney walked along the top of the offensive zone and sent a shot toward the net. He didn't get as much on the shot as he wanted, but that fooled Delorme as he tracked the puck awkwardly through a sea of bodies and watched it slip past his outstretched pad.

For the third time, however, Flin Flon increased their lead to two when Hein picked Johnny Witzke's pocket in front and made no mistake from between the hash marks.

The loss drops Estevan to 7-9 on the year and 2-6 on the road. The next Bruins game comes on Friday night against La Ronge at 7:30 SK time on Rock 106.
