The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins have traded 19-year old Tanner McKechnie to the Swan Valley Stampeders in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

In return, the Bruins will receive future considerations as part of the deal. In limited action this season, the Regina native scored 3 goals, adding 2 assists in 16 games.

The Bruins announced the trade on Thursday, including a statement from Head Coach and General Manager Chris Lewgood.

Bruins Head Coach and General Manager Chris Lewgood continues to stay active during one of the busiest times of the season. Friday, December 1st is a deadline for Junior "A" teams across Canada. Teams total number of current roster players and open cards for future player acquisitions must be at 25. With the recent addition of goaltender Bo Didur and the subtraction of McKechnie, the club now sits at 25.
