On Saturday the Estevan Bruins held there 2019 jersey auction and by all accounts, it was one of the best auctions on record, Danny Ewen director of marketing and operations with the Estevan Bruins shares how Estevan put up some big numbers.

"We had a great night Saturday concluding our 2019 Bruins jersey auction. Every single year we get third jerseys, we raffle them off all in support of the Bruins Education Fund and this year was one of our best one in many years. We had 21,413 dollars raised and that's between six players being lived auctioned off, four framed jerseys as well as the remaining third jerseys we had being bid on online. Our lowest bid if I recall correctly is somewhere around the 400 dollar mark which for most teams I think is right around the high part of there bid. So we really want to thank our community for not only bidding on those jerseys but bidding well this is huge money that goes directly to our Bruins Education Fund."

The Bruins Educations Fund is a fund that helps players once they move on from hockey, if they join post-secondary education or if they get a scholarship to go to a division 1 school. They will provide 1000 dollars for every player per year they are with the team.
